Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWPS)

This 8-hour hands-on qualification workshop combines classroom instruction with operating techniques to train participants in the safe operation of “Mobile Elevating Work Platforms” in compliance with OSHA regulations and ANSI standards.

Mass. Construction Supervisors License Prep

This 24-hour course prepares the member to take the Mass. Construction Supervisors’ License Exam. This course covers the current editions of the applicable commercial and residential codes. Note: The State of Massachusetts requires a minimum of 3 years of full-time documented employment in the construction field in order to be eligible to take the exam.

Math for the Trades I

This 16-hour course covers general math, fractions, decimals, and measurement as they apply to the carpentry trade. Practical hands-on applications will be emphasized. This course is required for apprentices as a condition of graduation.

Math for the Trades II

This 12-hour course introduces students to principles of laying out various shapes and calculating area and volume as they apply to carpentry. Practical hands-on applications will be emphasized. This course is required for apprentices as a condition of graduation. Prerequisite: Successful completion of Math for the Trades 1.

MEWPS — Mobile Elevating Work Platforms — Aerial Lift Update Course

This 2-hour Aerial Lift Operator supplemental course meets the new American National Standards Institute safety requirements for operating MEWPs. This required training has been in effect since March 1, 2020. YOU MUST HAVE ALREADY TAKEN THE 8-HOUR UBC AERIAL LIFT OPERATOR QUALIFICATION COURSE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS TRAINING.
