ABC Building Code

This 24-hour course prepares students for the City of Boston Building Code Exam. Prerequisite: Current Massachusetts Construction Supervisor’s License

Acoustical Ceilings I

This hands-on course introduces students to codes and industry standards related to exposed-grid ceiling installations. Topics covered are materials identification, job planning, print reading, laser technology, layout, and installation of exposed-grid ceilings. Please bring the following tools to class:   Snips, Pliers, Hammer, Tape Measure and a Pencil.

Acoustical Ceilings II

This 8 hour course will demonstrate the installation of various types of metal ceilings. It will also include a demonstration of Axiom Edge Trim as well as soffit and panel applications. PRE-REQUISITE: must have completed previous ceiling installation class- Acoustical Ceilings. On- the- job experience may be substituted at the instructor’s discretion.

Advanced Drywall Grid & Soffits

Students will be able to: expand their knowledge of partition layout and installation methods through hands-on layout projects to create door openings, fascias, soffits, octagonal windows, archways, and radius partition walls. (This course builds on the basic principles governing metal framing and drywall installation explored and practiced in Basic Drywall). PRE-REQUISITE: must have completed Acoustical

Advanced Fall Protection & Rescue/ Hands on (Millbury)

This 24-hour hybrid course (16 hours hands-on and 8 hours online) is for members who work at heights and serve (or potentially serve) in leadership roles (foreman, steward, superintendent, site safety, etc.) managing those working at heights on commercial construction sites. It provides both knowledge and practical skills to gain competency and proficiency in supervising

Advanced Welding

Prerequisite:  Basic/Beginning Welding/Pass Welding and Cutting test This course will prepare the Student for the AWS -1″ Plate Test.  Vertical, overhead, and torch operations will be covered.

Ardex Surface Prep & Moisture Mitigation Certification

This 2- day class will cover moisture mitigation product applications, procedures and self-leveling techniques.  It will also include skim coat prep and deep fill ramping with a crack repair system.  THIS CLASS IS SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR FLOORCOVERERS.
