Class Description
This course is a hybrid. The first 16 hours are held Online. The last 8 hours of the course is the hands-on portion and will be held at the facility listed in the course title.
This 24-hour course covers proper construction procedures and protocols for working in health care facilities. The course promotes awareness of infection control in health-care facilities and work practices to protect patients, staff, the public and the UBC members working in these types of facilities.
This training is recommended for carpenters working in healthcare facilities.
Required Equipment
Members must have their own smart device, laptop or computer with a webcam, speakers, microphone, and ability to connect to the internet. It is recommended to have a second device as back up.
Members attending training must provide their own safety shoes, eye protection, gloves, mask, ear protection and hard hats. Failure to provide your own safety equipment may result in your being dropped from a particular training session.
Attendance Requirements
Attendance at the first training session is mandatory. 100% attendance is required for all courses that issue Certificates or Qualifications and Apprentice mandatory training. Please be on time! Late arrivals (and early departures) are disruptive to instructors and participants. Poor attendance / disruptive behavior will result in your being dropped from a particular training session.
